  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 4 sub rolls
  • 8 slices crispy Turkey Bacon

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper until just combined.
  3. Roll the mixture into meatballs about 1.5 inches wide.
  4. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat; brown the meatballs on all sides.
  5. Pour BBQ sauce over browned meatballs; simmer for about 10 minutes.
  6. Slice sub rolls lengthwise and toast them in the oven for about five minutes.
  7. Assemble subs with meatballs, extra sauce, shredded cheese, and turkey bacon.
  8. Return assembled subs to the oven for an additional 2-3 minutes to melt the cheese.
  9. Serve immediately with extra BBQ sauce on the side.
