Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb steak tips (sirloin or ribeye), cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 10 oz rigatoni pasta
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 3/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tbsp butter (divided)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning (plus more to taste)
  • Optional: 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella or Fontina cheese

Instructions

  1. Season steak tips with Cajun seasoning. Heat olive oil and 1 tablespoon butter in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear steak until browned on all sides. Remove from skillet.
  2. In a large pot, boil salted water and cook rigatoni until al dente (8-10 minutes). Reserve 1/2 cup pasta water before draining.
  3. In the same skillet, melt remaining butter; sauté garlic until fragrant. Add heavy cream and simmer gently.
  4. Stir in grated Parmesan cheese until melted. Adjust seasoning with salt, pepper, and extra Cajun spice if needed.
  5. Toss cooked rigatoni into the sauce along with reserved pasta water as needed for consistency. Gently fold in seared steak tips.
  6. Serve immediately, garnished with extra Parmesan if desired.
