  • ¼ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Blue gel food coloring
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened (for filling)
  • ¾ cup brown sugar (for filling)
  • 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon (for filling)
  • ½ cup crushed chocolate sandwich cookies (for filling)
  • ¼ cup mini chocolate chips (for filling)
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened (for icing)
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter, softened (for icing)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar (for icing)
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract (for icing)
  • 23 tablespoons milk (adjust for icing consistency)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine warm milk and yeast; let sit for about 5 minutes until foamy. Stir in sugar, egg, egg yolk, melted butter, and vanilla.
  2. Mix in 2 cups of flour and salt; gradually add remaining flour while kneading until soft and slightly sticky. Add blue food coloring and knead until evenly distributed. Let rise in a greased bowl for 1 to 1½ hours.
  3. For filling: Combine softened butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon in a bowl; mix in crushed cookies and mini chocolate chips.
  4. Roll dough into a rectangle; spread filling evenly. Roll tightly from one long side and cut into 12 rolls.

  6. For icing: Beat cream cheese and butter until creamy; add powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and milk until smooth.
  7. Drizzle icing over warm rolls; garnish with extra cookie crumbles if desired.
