  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 cup crispy cooked turkey bacon, crumbled
  • 1 jar (24 oz) marinara sauce
  • 12 lasagna noodles
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 3 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups whole milk

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Meat Sauce: In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef. Add diced onion and sauté until soft. Stir in garlic, marinara sauce, turkey bacon, Italian seasoning, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper; simmer for 10 minutes.
  2. Make the Béchamel: In a saucepan over medium heat, melt butter and whisk in flour for 2 minutes. Gradually add milk while whisking until thickened (about 5 minutes). Stir in Parmesan cheese and garlic powder; season with salt and pepper.
  3. Assemble: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Spread meat sauce in a baking dish. Layer lasagna noodles over it followed by béchamel and cheeses; repeat until ingredients are used up.
  4. Bake: Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove foil and bake uncovered for an additional 15 minutes until golden and bubbly. Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
