  • 1 cup light brown sugar (for crumb topping)
  • 1 cup flour (for crumb topping)
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon (for crumb topping)
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg (for crumb topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9 x 13 inch baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, and cloves.
  3. In another bowl, mix butter and pumpkin puree until combined. Add sugar and blend well before incorporating eggs and vanilla.
  4. Gradually add dry ingredients alternating with milk until just combined.
  5. For the crumb topping, mix cold butter, brown sugar, flour, cinnamon, and nutmeg until crumbly.
  6. Layer half the batter in the prepared dish followed by half the crumb topping. Repeat layers and bake for 45-55 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
