  • 1 pound gnocchi (packaged or homemade)
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon chopped garlic
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 3/4 cup full-fat milk
  • 1 teaspoon dijon mustard
  • 1/4 cup grated gruyère cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated fontina cheese
  • Salt and white pepper to taste
  • 1/3 cup grated parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and spray a baking dish with nonstick spray.
  2. Cook the gnocchi in salted boiling water until they float; drain and set aside.
  3. In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter and sauté garlic until fragrant. Stir in flour until smooth.
  4. Gradually whisk in milk, then add mustard, gruyère, fontina, salt, white pepper, and half of the parmesan cheese. Stir until melted.
  5. Fold in cooked gnocchi until coated and transfer to the baking dish. Top with remaining parmesan.
  6. Bake for about 25 minutes or until bubbly and golden brown.
