  • 1 head of garlic
  • 1 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 shallot, finely diced
  • 3/4 cup chicken broth
  • 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
  • 16 oz shelf-stable gnocchi
  • 1/3 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • Fresh parsley, chopped
  • Salt & black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Cut off the top quarter-inch of the garlic head and wrap it in aluminum foil. Roast for about 50 minutes until golden brown and soft.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, melt butter and sauté shallots until soft (3–4 minutes).
  3. Squeeze roasted garlic into the skillet, adding chicken broth afterward; simmer for 2–3 minutes.
  4. Stir in heavy cream and simmer gently for about 5 minutes until thickened.
  5. Add gnocchi directly into the sauce and cook for another 3–5 minutes until tender.
  6. Fold in parmesan cheese and chopped parsley before serving.
