Ingredients
  

Marinade
  • 1 lb flank steak trimmed and pounded to 1/2 inch thickness
  • 2 tbsp olive oil for marinade
  • 2 tbsp lime juice freshly squeezed
  • 1 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp fresh cilantro chopped, for garnish

Method
 

Prepare the Marinade
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine olive oil, lime juice, chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Add the flank steak to the marinade, ensuring it is well coated. Let it marinate for at least 10 minutes.
Grill the Steak
  1. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  2. Remove the steak from the marinade and discard the marinade.
  3. Place the flank steak on the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare.
  4. Remove the steak from the grill and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
Serve
  1. Slice the steak against the grain and serve garnished with fresh cilantro.
