Prepare the Turkey Mixture
- In a mixing bowl, combine ground turkey, grated apple, chopped onion, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, and parsley. Mix until well combined.
- Form the mixture into 4 equal patties.
Cook the Burgers
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
- Place the patties on the grill and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- If using cheese, add a slice on top of each patty during the last minute of cooking to melt.
Assemble the Burgers
- Toast the burger buns on the grill for 1-2 minutes.
- Spread mayonnaise on the bottom half of each bun, add lettuce, the turkey patty, sliced tomato, and top with the other half of the bun.
