Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients
  • 8 slices bacon chopped
  • 2 cups jalapenos seeded and diced
  • 1 cup onion finely chopped
  • 1 cup brown sugar packed
  • 1 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper freshly ground

Method
 

Cook the Bacon
  1. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the chopped bacon until crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.
Sauté the Vegetables
  1. In the same skillet, add the chopped onion and jalapenos. Sauté until the onions are translucent, about 5 minutes.
Combine Ingredients
  1. In a pot, combine the sautéed vegetables, crispy bacon, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, garlic powder, and black pepper.
Cook the Jam
  1. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat. Reduce heat and simmer for about 30-35 minutes, stirring occasionally until thickened.
Store the Jam
  1. Remove from heat and let cool slightly. Transfer to a jar and store in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
