Olive Oil Mixture
  • 1 cup Extra virgin olive oil High quality for best flavor
  • 2 tablespoons Balsamic vinegar Optional for added tang
  • 1 teaspoon Dried oregano Can substitute with Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon Dried basil Fresh basil can be used if available
  • 1 clove Garlic Minced or finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Red pepper flakes Adjust to taste for spice
  • 1 teaspoon Salt To taste
  • 1 teaspoon Black pepper Freshly ground preferred

Method
 

Prepare the Dipping Oil
  1. In a small bowl, combine the extra virgin olive oil and balsamic vinegar.
  2. Add the dried oregano, dried basil, minced garlic, red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Whisk together until well combined.
  4. Let the mixture sit for a few minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
  5. Serve with fresh bread for dipping.
