Prepare Muffin Batter
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a muffin tin.
- In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, whisk together the egg, milk, and melted butter.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
- Fold in the cherries gently.
Make Cobbler Topping
- In a separate bowl, mix flour, brown sugar, and cinnamon.
- Cut in the cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
Assemble and Bake
- Spoon the muffin batter into the prepared muffin tin, filling each cup about 2/3 full.
- Sprinkle the cobbler topping evenly over the batter.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let cool for a few minutes before removing from the tin.
