Ingredients
  

  • 1 package Saltine crackers
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and arrange the Saltine crackers in a single layer.
  3. In a saucepan over medium heat, melt together unsalted butter and brown sugar, stirring continuously until it comes to a boil.
  4. Pour the hot toffee mixture evenly over the arranged crackers and bake for about 5–7 minutes.
  5. Remove from the oven and sprinkle semi-sweet chocolate chips over the hot toffee, spreading them out gently.
  6. In a small bowl, combine granulated sugar and cinnamon, then sprinkle this mixture over the melted chocolate.
  7. Add a light sprinkle of sea salt on top to enhance the flavors.
  8. Allow to cool completely at room temperature before breaking into pieces.
