Method
Prepare the Oven and Pan
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan with butter or line it with parchment paper.
Mix Wet Ingredients
- In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth. Stir in the melted butter, beaten egg, and vanilla extract until well combined.
Combine Dry Ingredients
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking soda, and salt.
Combine Mixtures
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined. Do not overmix.
Add Blueberries
- Gently fold in the blueberries, being careful not to break them.
Bake
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top. Bake in the preheated oven for 55-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Cool and Serve
- Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
