Method
Prepare the Oven and Baking Sheet
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Mix Dry Ingredients
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt until well combined.
Combine Wet Ingredients
- In another bowl, mix the melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, and mix until fully incorporated.
Combine Mixtures
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined. Fold in the chocolate chips.
Scoop and Bake
- Using a cookie scoop, drop dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart. Sprinkle rainbow sprinkles on top of each cookie.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are set but the centers are still soft.
Cool and Serve
- Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
