Ingredients
  

Marinade
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce low sodium preferred
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar packed
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 inch ginger fresh, grated
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon green onion chopped
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
Chicken
  • 4 pieces chicken legs skin-on, bone-in

Method
 

Prepare the Marinade
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, rice vinegar, chopped green onion, and black pepper. Mix well until sugar is dissolved.
  2. Add the chicken legs to the marinade, ensuring they are well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, preferably 2 hours.
Cook the Chicken
  1. Preheat the air fryer to 380°F (193°C).
  2. Remove chicken legs from the marinade and shake off excess. Place them in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
  3. Cook for 25 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) and the skin is crispy.
  4. Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving.
