Brussels Sprouts
  • 1 pound Brussels sprouts trimmed and shredded
Cooking Fat
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil or coconut oil
Seasonings
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes optional
Parmesan
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese grated, optional for serving

Method
 

Prepare the Brussels Sprouts
  1. Trim the ends of the Brussels sprouts and shred them using a sharp knife or a food processor.
Cook the Brussels Sprouts
  1. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
  2. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Add the shredded Brussels sprouts to the skillet, season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes, and stir well.
  4. Cook for about 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the Brussels sprouts are tender and slightly caramelized.
Serve
  1. Remove from heat and sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese if desired. Serve warm.
