Prepare Gelatin
- In a small bowl, sprinkle the gelatin over 2 tablespoons of cold water and let it sit for 5 minutes to bloom.
- After blooming, heat the mixture in the microwave for about 10 seconds until dissolved. Set aside.
Make Mousse
- In a mixing bowl, combine the heavy cream, orange juice, sugar, vanilla extract, and orange zest.
- Using a whisk, beat the mixture until soft peaks form.
- Gently fold in the dissolved gelatin until fully incorporated.
- Spoon the mousse into serving dishes and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to set.
Serve
- Once set, top each mousse with whipped cream and a sprinkle of orange zest before serving.
