Ingredients
  

Beef and Vegetables
  • 1 lb beef sirloin thinly sliced
  • 1 large onion sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 cup peas frozen or fresh
  • 2 stalks green onions chopped
Rice and Seasoning
  • 4 cups cooked rice preferably day-old
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce adjust to taste
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp black pepper freshly ground

Method
 

Prepare the Ingredients
  1. Slice the beef sirloin thinly and marinate it with soy sauce and black pepper for about 10 minutes.
  2. Chop the onion, garlic, and green onions, and set aside.
Cook the Beef
  1. Heat vegetable oil in a wok over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the marinated beef and stir-fry for about 5 minutes until browned and cooked through.
Add Vegetables
  1. Add sliced onions and minced garlic to the wok, stir-frying for another 3 minutes until onions are translucent.
  2. Stir in the peas and cook for an additional 2 minutes.
Fry the Rice
  1. Add the cooked rice to the wok, breaking up any clumps.
  2. Drizzle sesame oil and additional soy sauce over the rice, stirring well to combine all ingredients.
  3. Stir-fry for about 5 minutes until the rice is heated through and slightly crispy.
Serve
  1. Garnish with chopped green onions and serve hot.

Notes

For best results, use day-old rice as it is drier and fries better.
