Sticky Garlic Chicken Noodles

A delightful dish that brings the flavors of Asia straight to your dinner table with tender chicken pieces in a garlicky soy-honey sauce tossed with chewy noodles.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb chicken breast or thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • 1/2 tsp red chili flakes (optional)
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 8 oz noodles (rice noodles or egg noodles)
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds (optional)

Method
 

  1. In a bowl, combine soy sauce, honey, minced garlic, grated ginger, and optional red chili flakes to create the sauce.
  2. Toss chicken pieces with cornstarch until evenly coated.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and cook until golden brown, about 6–8 minutes.
  4. Pour the prepared sauce over the cooked chicken and stir well. Let it simmer for 1–2 minutes until it thickens slightly.
  5. Cook the noodles according to package directions. Drain and toss with a little oil if desired.
  6. Add cooked noodles to the skillet with the chicken and sauce. Toss gently to coat the noodles.
  7. Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
