Method
Prepare the Oven and Baking Sheet
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Mix Dry Ingredients
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
Cream Butter and Sugars
- In another bowl, use an electric mixer to cream the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
Add Eggs and Vanilla
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
Combine Mixtures
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
Add Chocolate Chips
- Fold in the chocolate chips using a spatula.
Scoop and Bake
- Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden.
Cool and Enjoy
- Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
