  • 2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 ½ teaspoons salt
  • Ground black pepper (to taste)

Instructions

  1. Tenderize the chicken breasts to about half an inch thickness using a meat mallet or rolling pin.
  2. In a bowl, mix olive oil, minced garlic, lemon juice, Italian seasoning, sugar, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Place the chicken in a large Ziploc bag and pour the marinade over it. Seal the bag and massage gently to coat evenly. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or up to 12 hours.
